“MEDICINAL PLANTS CULTIVATION FOR THE LIVELIHOOD OF 30 SMALL FARMERS Medicinal Plants Dharmapuri, India Status: not started
|
The project is aimed to control seasonal migration of farmers, increase the productivity of Rainfed lands and to conserve forest. We developed the project to provide livelihood opportunities through motivation and skill promotional training to 30 small farmers on standard agronomic practices and post harvesting operations of economically viable medicinal plants by the way of low risk cultivation. We hope that it will create positive changes in the farmers’ knowledge, attitude and practice to use low risk cultivation technology for additional income and reduce seasonal migration in the area and will be controlled over exploitation of economically viable wild medicinal plants in the forest. » more |
