Improving the Donation Process

Aidmatrix global team went into action as soon as we learned about the devasting earthquake in Haiti. Within 24 hours, we had an on-line donation portal setup to process donations - financial, in-kind (products and services), volunteers and transportation. We contacted our current partners - both NGOs and corporate donors. We had a daily triage meeting to make sure that everything was working. Our COO traveled to Haiti to help set up our warehouse software for CARE International to process the inventory of donated and purchased goods. USAID requested Aidmatrix help in establishing a donation portal for them. Large NGOs were giving out Aidmatrix phone number to potential donors when they could not process the donation. As of end of January, over $100,000 was raised for Haiti support with money still coming in. Dozens of needs have been posted by NGOs in Haiti with many of these filled by corporate and individual donors. See www.aidmatrix.org/haiti on ways to help.
